Hey everyone! Today, I wanted to take a moment to share a part of my journey with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It's been a rollercoaster ride, and here's how it all rolled:

YouTube: "link"

Picture this: A long, long time ago I was standing in a government office, pen in hand, signing away a penalty worth a whole month's of my salary to secure my health insurance. The lady behind the counter wears an expression that's somewhere between disbelief and concern. My signature on that document? Let's just say it's a work of art...of the abstract variety! 😄

Now, I can't help but wonder who dreamed up this system. Were they perhaps in a creative mood? 🤣

But that's just a teaser. Stay tuned for more chapters of my journey. There's a lot more to share, and I can't wait to have you along for the ride. #LifeStory

Text from the Video:

PART ONE

Intro…

Hi everyone!

It's been a bit longer since the last video, as I announced in the previous one. I've been using this extra time to my advantage by creating my own 3D models for sale - hopefully in the next video I'll already be able to show off the result of my work.

Or I create another video for that, with another playlist. That would make more sense. I will only mention briefly that this will be a set of four, rather richly ornamented, historical objects.

PART TWO

Improvements…

And just for informational reasons, I've implemented some changes in my videos, particularly focusing on the descriptions while maintaining a consistent and organized structure. I've fixed a few aspects that have an impact on SEO - I want to reach a wider audience, people who can potentially benefit from it. And gave them at least a chance to come across my videos at all.

If you have any further suggestions, recommendations for changes, or areas for improvement, feel free to share. Don't hesitate to reach out to me through comments or any other means - I'm open to suggestions and would very much welcome any help.

PART THREE

The tricky situation with the health care system…

All right. Last time, I ended my story with how I ended up in the hospital and had to work out from where I was supposed to get the money for necessary tests because the contract with my employer didn't even provide me with health insurance. These circumstances left me with no choice but to reach out to my parents and ask for their assistance...

Yes, while their response wasn't filled with enthusiasm, it's still important to note that during their time, concepts like an "Agreement for the Provision of Services" (or in other words "Contract for Specific Work") did not exist, and even in their professions, it couldn't be applied.

Additionally, there's the mentality of feeling invincible in your youth, a mindset I was familiar with as well. The thought process might go like this: Doctor? Hospital? I don't like going to the doctor... I don't have the time for such bullshit, and I can't even afford it... And so on and so forth.

Well, now let's play with the consequences of such an approach.

Fortunately, my parents agreed to help, enabling me to undergo additional tests during my hospital stay. They weren't any sophisticated ones, but I did have a lumbar puncture again... Yupi… I guess… I didn't have an MRI scan, because that was the most expensive part of the tests, which would normally have eaten up almost half my monthly salary, and here I didn't want to abuse the help of my parents, for whom financial issues were damn important - I don't know if above everything else, but sometimes I got that impression.

I spent probably 2 or 3 days in the hospital. I didn't want to stay any longer because the expenses were accumulating rapidly, and the doctors were taking their time to finalize the diagnosis...

I didn't receive any treatment, so my hand still remained uncooperative, but some vision of how to come out of this problem I already possessed. I had to get voluntary health insurance... And this is where another problem appeared.

I haven't had my insurance contributions paid for probably 2 years, and the dear Polish NFZ (National Health Fund) charges penalties for not paying contributions after 3rd month - different ones, depending on the length of the break. According to the 2022 data, not paying contributions for more than 10 years is already almost PLN 13,000, which is almost EUR 3,000. This may not be much in the Western part of the World, but in Poland, it is a serious amount of money.

So, to put it straightforward. You don't pay your contributions, but at the same time, you can not use public healthcare anyway because you glow red in the system - there are exceptions, like retired people with very low pensions or homeless people. In summary, you pay a penalty for NOT using public health services... because you're actually a much better contributions payer if you PAY and DON'T use it. But, that is just my opinion…

Now I know that all I would have had to do was register as an unemployed person for one month and everything would have been reset, but at the time I was in a hurry - my hand was getting worse and worse, and in case of registration as an unemployed person, I still would have had to terminate my contract with my current employer and hope that he would renew it when I came back... Pluses, minuses, calculations... You know how it is. Choosing the best option… or less painful one. Like in this case.

Consequently, my parents had to help me this time too and their level of "unhappiness" grew even more. I'm a bit not surprised, but I'm not the one who invented the so-called "Junk Contract" in the first place (which is still functioning in Poland, despite years of promises to eliminate it).

For this and for a few other reasons, I am glad that I live in Ireland now. It may not be perfect here, but where is it? There are not many of the idiotic legal things we had to choke on in Poland though - which is also a bit sad, because right after I graduated from the University I wasn't planning on leaving Poland at all. Yea… Great job Polish government.

PART FOUR

The system that cannot be relied on…

So I had to secure my insurance in the first place. I still remember the moment I signed the agreement with NFZ, throwing away a whole month's worth of my salary on an idiotic penalty... I can still recall the expression on the face of the lady clerk who assisted me during that moment. She looked like her conscience was trying to put a major hole in her mental health - I was barely able to scribble, a very crooked signature and I myself probably looked like I was about to have a breakdown, so it doesn't surprise me at all... After all, clerks are humans too... Most of the time - well, sometimes. ;)

After paying for everything and hearing a litany of comments about my person from my parents, I finally started to glow green in the Polish health system... So what? The irony is that now, with my insurance in place, the hospital claimed to be unable to accommodate my admission and instead scheduled an appointment in another about 30 days, so an extra month of waiting...

To sum up, I couldn't work, I was obliged to pay monthly health contributions calculated from the average Polish salary – a figure I wasn't reaching – and yet, I remained deprived of the essential medical care I desperately needed.

I don't know who came up with the whole thing, but I think he or she, or they were high…

And I guess that's enough of this story for today because I can already feel the anger starting to rise in me at all this stupidity. Don't worry though, I will continue my tale next time.

PART FIVE

CH02 - Draco-Orc…

And now maybe I'll finally tell you something about my Draco-Ork, who was supposed to be more of an intelligent warrior, but through his rather stereotypical clothing is more like a barbarian.

Oh well, here's the BIO of Zetar:

Zetar, well. He wasn't a planned child, it just worked out somehow. In his own land, however, he was seen, not as a freak, but as the incarnation of a Deity. At first, the young Half-Orc was even fine with that, he had plenty of everything, but over time it really started to bother him. He lacked peace, solitude and quiet. In addition, everyone wanted something from him. That's why one night, he just left.

Since then he wandered around wherever he could without much purpose, quite often visiting the coastal areas. He was just on his way, to the far south, where he intended to spend the cold months, when, by his own carelessness, he was spotted by a certain young Half-Elf girl. And so it began...

Additionally, you can discover more about my Challenge entry and Zetar on the page linked in the description below. Or somewhere here in the future if you help me with that, by Subscribing for example.

PART SIX

On the screen...

I'm quite pleased with how this character turned out. There's room for improvement in terms of his pose, perhaps adding more dynamism, and, of course, giving him attire that better matches his persona. The shield design could have been more captivating as well. Overall he's one of those better characters, in my opinion at least.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this one. Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section below.

And now I encourage you to switch on that subscribe button below. And if you enjoyed this content, a thumbs-up would be greatly appreciated! I'll be back in three weeks with more of my story. Thank you for watching! Take care, and see you soon!

PART SEVEN

Just in case…

And again - I am not a doctor or any medical professional. The information I share is based on my personal observations, insights from healthcare providers, physical therapists, and various written sources. It's important to note that what works for me may not necessarily be suitable or effective for others. Before adopting any practices or techniques mentioned be me, I strongly advise you to consult with a healthcare professional to ensure that you are not putting yourself at risk or causing harm.

Thank you for joining me on this exciting adventure. Let's make a difference together!

At the moment I don't have much to offer beyond my videos - I'm still learning how to do all of this and looking for ideas of what I could offer to people who would decide to help me. If you have any ideas, please feel free to write!

Thanks for watching!
