Thanks for checking out my mission! Let's team up to spread the word about the challenges of living with a chronic illness and help each other find balance between our passions and our health.

I'm not an Artist... Apparently I never was. I realised this a few more years ago, but until now I've been using 'Artist' because it's very common, but screw that... I'm going to act in accordance with myself, not with what's generally accepted.

Why Artisan, not Artist? Because for me real Art ended somewhere around Realism (mid 19th century). I'm not saying that nowadays people can't paint beautifully, they can! I'm referring to paintings full of strange shapes, specks and formless elements, sculptures created of leftovers from someone's breakfast (if such a thing was created, I don't know, I'm just taking a shot here), "art" created by artistically inspired pigs or other hamsters and so on and so forth.... You already know what this is all about.

Fortunately there are people who continue to create beautiful pieces of art, I myself follow the activities of several sculptors and stonemasons on LinkedIn. That gives me hope, because if there are still people who do it, there are also people who order it, so there is still a value in real art.

And that's something I'd also like to bring into my activity, also because I intend to make tutorials and promote people with a creative soul, who are constrained by health limitations from creating in the future. I mainly work with computer programmes, but here too decent craftsmanship is in high demand and one thing I always try to keep in mind is that we're never done learning. That's why I stay up-to-date on all the latest modelling methods and market trends, so I can keep growing as an Artisan and this is also how I can help my less experienced fellow Creatores. I also intend to create 3D models and paintings for sale, all with time, not all at once, especially as I have a full-time job anyway, so there is not much time left for other activities.

Why 0Art?

One aspect that I haven't mentioned yet is that I have Multiple Sclerosis. There have been times in the past when I wasn't able to work due to this condition, and after I got better I was hesitant to mention it when seeking new job opportunities. However, I've learned to deal with this challenge and now I embrace it as an important part of my experience.

I understand the challenges of navigating daily life and pursuing your passions while managing a chronic illness. While my journey has been shaped by MS, I recognize that there are countless individuals living with different chronic illnesses who face their own unique challenges. Later on, these, typically good and kind people, live in the closure of their four walls. They feel misunderstood, unwanted and unable to live in, our shared society - because they are afraid, because others look at them strangely or avoid them, and then there are problems at work or in the process of looking for one.

By sharing my experiences and the knowledge I have gathered over the years, I hope to inspire and support others living with chronic illnesses to find a balance between their passions and their health. You can't see that there is anything wrong with me, at the moment, it's all inside, invisible at the moment. Nevertheless, I'm often in pain, but I'm used to it and I exercise regularly to minimize it. I often can't concentrate, but I have a ways to overcome that... and other problems,, which I am also going to share because because I believe it will help someone to protect themselves from serious consequences!

I also hope, that I can get others to talk to me about their problems and show even a broader perspective, I very much hope so. I would like to build a community of people who, above all, understand each other well and support one another. For now, I plan to record videos, write a blog and publish posts, basically wherever I can, and then we'll see.

In the end, my goal is to show that no matter what chronic illness you may be living with, you can still find ways to pursue your passions and live a fulfilling life. While there may be obstacles in your path, with determination and resilience, there are no impossible things, as long as we believe in it, support each other and share, spread the message and build awareness.

What about MS?

I am an Artisan and it's fair to say that I inherited my manual talents from several people. Both my parents can draw and paint, although neither of them used these talents seriously.... Different times, different priorities. The person who did more in this area in my family, though still as a hobby, was my grandfather. He painted beautiful oil paintings of landscapes and animals, sometimes people. His greatest love, however, were horses and he was the one who showed me how to draw a horse's head... I'll show it to you one day, it's funny. :D

Now I won't say "and that's where it started" because it would be a lie. I've always been attracted by such creative activities, the oldest carpet in my family house still has traces of dried plasticine, which I used to make all sorts of animals and creatures.

All in all, I've always done better with three-dimensional creation than on a flat surface... And one day I came across a group of people that I became friends with and started working with, on an over-ambitious project that did not see its completion (at least it was fun :P ). At first as a Concept Artist and then more and more as a 3D Artist and on other small games. That group is called Artifex Mundi, they still make cool games, but I separated from them in my final year of university to focus on my MA - my love of games, fantasy and RPGs, has stayed with me, though, and will stay with me forever.

Since then I've done all sorts of things, always trying to stick to a 3D or 2D subject, definitely not letting go of the path I've taken, although I would have preferred to be more in touch with the gaming industry - but what the heck, there's still a lot ahead of me! It hasn't always been easy and I have a lot to talk about, but overall I think I've done pretty well and it's only going to get better.
